If that's the preception, it should be noted that India was invaded by lighter-skinned tribes from Europe ca. 1500 BC who inter-married with the local tribes and then established the systems of racism and apartheid that we see today. The 'ruling clbutt' of lighter-skinned Brahamins represent less than 5% of the Indian population yet control over 90% of the economy and almost all of the universities and and colleges.
