I've never understood why atheists try to convert people. No point to it, if they're correct. Then again, I'm only an agnostic, so what do I know? Maybe they're trying to make the rest of the world see clearly. Silly of them.
That's sort of true. You don't hear of memorials for the gypsies or gays or others who died in that ugliness.
Once they get on the anti-Jewish kick, they get progressively weirder. Latest that I came across (and actually read part of, instead of doing my usual of killfile sender) has it that the Israelis (or Jews, not sure of the exact designation they used) are planning a nuke attack on the US and having the Jewish people in power in the US blame it on Iraq or Iran or some other Middle Eastern country.

Too late. He's crossed the line. Possibly the paranoid schiz line. Tends to show up in males somewhere between the teens and the 30s and gets nothing but worse unless proper medication and a good shrink get involved. Sounds as if, if he is para-schiz, it's set for life. If not para-schiz, then he's some other flavour of nut. Since they don't believe they're wrong or crazy, they won't seek treatment and often won't accept it unless forced. And it's not legal to force them unless they're judged criminally insane.
Until you start to post your fantasy-s. Then everyone but equally disturbed people can see it plainly.
Probably not worth trying to talk to any more. Put him in the 'old friends now not friends' category and get on with your sane life for yourself.
