Descriptions are enough apparently. They don't want to inflame "sensibilities", despite having run political cartoons satirizing Christian religious figures. And weren't the media also peeed off when the Pentagon quit letting them photograph the unloading of boxs from Iraq -- what' the matter, aren't descriptions good enough?
What kind of bothers me about this is that rather than letting the generally radical, hypocritical and terrostic nature of Islam speak for itself, the media has decided now's the time to haul out the moderate Muslims to feature in interviews in yet another attempt to somehow make us believe how peaceful, tolerance and open-minded the Islamic world is.
9-11, kidnappings, dissolution plantings, the beheadings, the cartoons unrest, not to mention the running anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial-approval, every time the Islamic world goes over the top the Western media falls all over itself trying to "correct" the factual image of a real event with some bogus one featuring shiny, happy, liberal, tolerant Westernized Muslims whose only complaint is that there's not enough Starbucks in their neighborhood.
I guess it's working, nobody seems alarmed that the Islamic world has zero tolerance for freedom of expression and those that practice it get rest threats.
